EasyScope Software Installation Note

Models 2530B/2532B/2550 series/2190D

There are two software available for download that supports the model 2530B and 2532B digital storage oscilloscopes.

1. EasyScope 3.0 (Operating software version 3.0) (2530B_Software.zip / 2530B_Software.zip)
2. EasyScope X (EasyScopeX.zip)

Easyscope 3.0 supports 2530B and 2532B scopes with firmware versions below 5.07.02.17.  
Easyscope X supports 2530B and 2532B scopes with firmware versions from 5.07.02.17 and above.

To verify which operating software you should download for remote control, do the following:

1. Power up the scope.
2. Press UTILITY, and select SYSTEM STATUS on the first page of the menu.  Under "Software Version" is the firmware version number.
3. Then, go to page two of the UTILITY menu.  Under "Back USB", 
if it gives you a selectable option for Computer or Printer, install EasyScope 3.0 (operating software version 3.0).  You will
also need to install the USB driver (32 bit or 64 bit version).

If this option shows "USBTMC" and it is greyed out, then install EasyScopeX software.  You will also need to install the USBTMC
Driver.  Please read "USBTMC_Driver_Readme.txt".



EasyScopeX software:

EasyScopeX software supports newer firmware versions of 2530B and 2532B, which also has slightly different hardware than
older versions. This firmware supports USBTMC (Read USBTMC_readme.txt for details), which is required for EasyScopeX to
communicate remotely. 

EasyScopeX also supports the 2550 series and 2190D oscillscopes, which use USBTMC (Read USBTMC_readme.txt for details). 

PC software requirements to run EasyScopeX:
- NI-VISA run time installed
- NI LabWindows/CVI run time engine installed
